Shostakovich String Quartet No. 15

This performance will be available from 9pm on 9th August until 9pm on 9th September. There is a short, spoken introduction followed by a full performance of the work.

This work lives in a space of its own, different to all that came before it, by him or anyone else. A series of slow-moving, meditative movements, it is a statement on both life and death, as the composer neared his end. Turn the lights down low, lie back and immerse yourself in this cosmic experience.
